Why Pickleball?
It’s healthy
Pickleball is the best way to exercise with a lower risk of injury than many sports. It’s a full body workout and excellent for cardiovascular health. You’ll get hooked quickly and the exercise along with the mental challenge of systematically improving your game, your daily stress levels will reduce and general wellbeing increase. As you improve, so you’ll spend more gametime close to the net, developing reflexes and co-ordination, plus adrenalin!
It’s social
Pickleball is a sport inseparable from community. You’ll likely spend a lot of time in the beginning in open play. As you improve, you might want to plan your partners and opponents to match up those rating levels on the road to becoming a professional – or just admired by your peers! Although Pickleball is social at heart, there are opportunities to compete nationally, regionally and abroad.
It's accessible
The learning curve is fast and more affordable than many other racquet sports. You’ll work up a sweat, but four courts fit into one tennis court so your fitness and agility will improve at just the right pace with a lower chance of injuring yourself. You’ll find your tribe quickly, whether you’re at school, a working professional or enjoying retirement.
